CHRONO KART

Installed in your car's engine is a magic time stone, allowing it to channel the energy of your car's past laps (loops) to boost its power. Harness it to blaze new trails and break lap records!

Controls

• Keyboard: 
  • Up arrow: accelerate
  • Down arrow: brake
  • Left/Right arrows: steer
  • "A"  key: Activate time stone, when in range
• Controller (Xbox button layout): 
  • "A" button: accelerate
    
  • "B" button:  brake
  • D-pad Left/Right steer
  • "X"  button: Activate time stone, when in range

Gameplay

Race around the track while trying to beat the target lap time. Whenever you cross the starting line, a time-trial ghost of your previous lap starts racing alongside you.

When  driving within close proximity to a time-trial ghost, active the time stone! You'll get a boost in acceleration, improve handling, and the ability to drive over rough terrain without losing speed.

Look for opportunities to improve your lap time. Slow moving time-trial ghosts from mistakes made in earlier laps can be leveraged to get a boost. Use them to find off-road shortcuts!

Tips

• Your car loses traction at high speeds. You will need to let off the throttle or brake when approaching a turn too quickly.
• The improved handling and off-road controls wear off at the same time as your time stone boost does. If driving off-road, try to return to the road before the boost wears off.
• Time-trial ghosts repeat your laps exactly. If you drive slowly or get caught in the grass on one lap, that ghost will be easier to catch up to (and boost off of) on the next lap.
